Default Renting a regular convertible

I'm thinking about taking a trip on Highway 1, or Pacific Coast Highway.

I'd like to fly out there and rent a convertible and enjoy the sights/sounds/smells of the coast.

Any good rental car companies that have a decent selection for reasonable prices?

I'm starting to think I'm better off buying a miata in the state of california and driving it, none of these rental car places have anything but V6 mustang verts

We did it from Sonoma to San Diego in a Mustang convertible last June/July. Mustang wasn't the most fun to drive, but it got the job done, and we had a blast.

Hertz has a "fun fleet" or something like that. It's limited to certain cities, but you can rent miatas, 350z's, mustangs, jeep wranglers, etc.

Drove from Napa to San Diego. Had a solara vert that handled like crap. Never the less the drive on highway 1 was amazing!
