Return of the AMC Eagle?
It's a damn sight better looking than the Eagle, that's for sure.
That car would appeal to my mom like no other. She's had a Pilot and now an Accord, she likes the size of the Accord and enjoys driving it more but misses the AWD and high seating from the Pilot. My dad on the other hand doesn't like the Accord and liked the Pilot better, so you obviously won't be able to please everyone.

AMC Eagle was a fantastic car and AMC was so far ahead of themselves; true automotive visionaries for America. I am totally digging that Volvo as well. Since the Chinese took the helm of Volvo, they've really been on their A game.
I don't see this going very far... But good for them to at least try something new.
Typically someone that ones height also wants space. Which this will lack.
It will work well in the Snow belt regions, that want fuel economy and not space. How many people will that be?

I believe Subaru tried this in the mid 2000s with the Outback.
