Default From S to Z4

Guys

Firstly, please don't hate me. I love my car, being my second, with only a week in between. However, I have just secured an agreement with work that will get me a great deal. Test drove a z4 the other day and while not as fun as the 2000 to drive, was a nice environment to be in and felt very refined.

Has anyone made this change and has feedback?

Thanks

Sorry. Should I guess say it would be the new version with the metal roof. Probably the 3.5

Life is short, BMWs are great to drive (cost $$$ to own though). My niece had an older Z4 and it was very nice, so nice that it made me want another German convertible, so I got one. I say get it, but given your penchant for mods and whatnot, you may find the BMW too nice and miss the honesty of the S2000 (I had a few other vehicles that are more hardcore than the S so I didn't miss mine one bit).

Good luck and have fun shopping.

i thought someone posted here a few months back about getting the new Z4 i35 or whichever is the turbo 3 liter, he said it was super nice, and since its a hard top convertible its quieter like a coupe, but with that motor is pretty fast.

I would never consider a Z4 since the Boxster exists. Especially the new 2013...do want.

I would do it, much nicer overall car and the motor is a beast with just a tune. 450 HP and torque will make you forget about the s2k

I'm not old enough to drive a (modern) BMW yet.

For the money, the Boxster is the car to buy imo.

I still can't get over the "you drive it because you can't afford a 911" effect; I know it's an excellent performing car, especially the S, and the 2013 does look spectacular but I don't think it will ever shed that reputation from my eyes

Well, I drive an S2000 because I don't give a damn what people think about it only being a Honda - I enjoy the car and the people that drive S2000s, not others' approval.

I actually like the Boxster more than the 911 - its a better design and execution, even if it is marketed as the downlevel P car.

Would I rather drive a Z4 than be seen in "a poor man's 911"? That's like saying I'd rather date a fat chick than date a hot girl's pretty little sister.
