s2000 or 350z ?
You guys think i should keep my S2000 or go for a 350z? would it be an upgrade or down grade to 350z... i'm all about performance; 0-60, cornering (s2k rules here), comfort, reliability (nissan?), power band....etc.
It all depends on what you like. The 350Z and the S2000 are both very capable sports cars. Each has their own strengths and weaknesses. Test drive a 350Z and see if you like it. It is bigger, heavier, and marginally quicker. The S2000 has better responses, handles marginally better, and has a much more "tossable" nature. Plus the convertible factor.
The S2000 is much lighter and nimbler, and you can feel the difference. The Z has greater torque..and by the seat of the pants it feels quicker. Dynamically the S2000 is a sports car and the 350 is a GT. But the 350 does have more toys available as far as options go. But that Viscous LSD is crap, and the OEM tires are Crap, and the VDC which you can never REALLY turn off is crap. The Best Z is the cheapest Z - the base model. Lightest one...and doesn't have that fun stunting VDC.

. I think the S2000 is a more capable SPORTS car. The 350 is easier to drive fast and in a straight line. S2000 is faster through the twisties. If its your daily driver, I would look to the 350.John

Prior to my '05 S2000, I owned a 350Z Track for about 14 months. The Z was a fun car, but the S2000 is simply more exhiliarating to drive, regardless if the top is down or not. The top down on a nice day is a great bonus however. The S2000 simply communicates with the driver in a manner that the Z cannot come close to replicating.
In terms of performance, I feel like my S is quicker than my old 350Z, but the Z is probably faster. The Z is easier to drive for Joe Average, but I prefer the way the S2000 handles. Nonetheless, both handle great in stock trim.
In short, I prefer the S over the Z in every single manner.
