Default S2k BUDGET

My parents are looking to buy me a new car for my senior year and I have my eyes set on the S2K... I know its around 32500 a little expensive but I love the car. I was wondering how much you guys are paying monthly for you cars and how much I would be paying if I put a couple thousand and/or trade in to get this car...

Thanks
Colt

If you only put couple thousand down, the payment is gonna be like $600-700/month for 5 yrs.

insurance isn't going to be cheap. also... I believe we shell out quite a bit on maintenance, tires, car washes and of course... gas. it doesn't have the worst gas milage out there, but you will want to drive it a lot. the tires will cost you a bit of change, depending on your right foot (and clutch foot). so... if your finances are squeezed in to obtain one - don't do it. but you can pick up a used one in great condition for much cheaper dollars.

right now, there is an owner in the north texas forum (click on clubs then north texas) who needs to sell his pronto - and is letting his red/black 2001 go for 28,500 with ~8K miles on it. great deal in my opinion.

Use this link. . .

http://www.ehonda.com/framesNfinance.asp

Directly from the Honda website, you can decide how much to put down and at what interest rate to finance your baby!

Also, take a look at the "cool" lease payments. Our S2000's have one hell of a residual cap!

Just an example. . .

$32,860.00 @ 60months with 7% rate = $650.67

Lease rates are sweet. . .

36 month lease with 15k miles a year = $485.36

umm...airgate, I think you would go over the mileage within the first two months so a lease for you is a bad idea

Yeah. . .well, the 36 month term would kill me alone!

My S2000 is only 8 months old and has 19k miles!

I guess it's all that "business" traveling. . .

You're a teenager, right? Do you really need an S2000? Some people can compremise with their car even if it shakes, has less performance and braking, and looks.

Look for a less expensive car if you don't have enough money:
Acura RSX
Toyota Celica
Subaru Impreza WRX

Does your dad want to adopt another son?

I'm 37 and housebroken. I don't eat much (though I do ... ).
