There are plenty of Cayman S with a lot less miles!!!! I found a 06 Boxster S with 10k miles last feb at 32k.

There is a also a 06 Cayman S at my local dealership with 7k miles going for 37k! of course nego should play its role.

You really shouldn't be basing a car purchase off a monthly payment plan-

how about performance wise?
I love to work on my car. Been always upgrading my cars.
I'm thinking I cannot do much with the cayman s. Also pretty sure exhaust would cost one of my arm, or even both arms =P
trying to make 400whp cayman s would really cost about ... another s2k I assume?

I WAS going for c6, then I realized that I miss s2k so much.

maybe shooting for cayman s is push it a little... I'm 26 and maybe porsche is too high end for me just yet.

all depends on how I can do performance mod.

The monthly payment is 50% more for the CS. If you're thinking about doing mods, forget about the CS, it will be too expensive.

If you want to modify it (FI), the S2000 will be a lot better for you. It's been done, the car has been proven to remain reliable over many boosted miles provided the tune is right, and like you say, it's going to cost less for parts on the Honda.

But if you'd be ok with keeping it stock or near stock, I'd lean towards the CS based on the reviews here on the boards. This is assuming you still have at least a grand a month left over in disposable income after the bills are paid. If you'd only have ~$500 a month or less in free income after getting the CS, I'd look elsewhere.

Since you're talking about mods right now and will be financing the car, I don't think the CS would be the best buy for you at this point in your life

I agree. I'll be better off with the S right now. I have no idea why I traded in my AP2 silverstone for this lousy X.... bleh

going to get AP2 NFR or AP1 NFR if I can find one at decent price.

Cayman S if you can afford, but seriously the concern is its high mileage.
