They don't dislike the military. They want me to join and would be proud but they are scared. They have friends that have been killed. My grandpa was in the Vietnam war and was shot. My uncle had his hand blown off by a bomb. My cousin is in the Air Force and he's seen his friends been shot. And all my friends that have joined loved it no matter what branch they were in. My mom owns a nail salon (typical asian lol) which she meets new people everyday and has customers who know of somebody or have served for our country. They are all worried but happy and proud, and I can't worry my family. My whole entire family worry about my cousin and he tells me his mom cries everyday. I just can't do that. I've explained to my parents about ROTC and benefits of joining, but there is no way that is going to happen anytime soon. My mom said if school really isn't my thing then I can go. The guy I bought my car from, his dad was in a war in Iran a long time ago and saw many of his friends killed in front of him. He told me if I really loved my parents I wouldn't go against them no matter what. And I'm listening to him. I do regret not serving and think about it everyday. But nothing makes me more happy than knowing that my family is happy.

P.S. My advice is to go out with your degree and make the money to buy the NSX all by yourself, without any kind of help from your parents. That will show them your worth and make them proud in addition to feeling really good that you earned your own NSX.

This, that is the route I would choose.

To the OP: Keep the S and get a NSX down the road. Ultimately, the choice is yours whether or not you want the NSX now or later. Good Luck with School and your decision.

Parents could be trolling you also LOL jk or am I?

Lol wish I could invest into my S. Parents would let me buy a faster car but won't give me money to mod my car, I have to use my own money. They did however get me an exhaust but hate how loud it is (: They believe OEM is best.

Haha I'm in community college and they only allow 19 credit hours maximum. I bought my Camry myself from my parents, they bought it new and it felt good (: but I'm giving it to my sister when she gets her license (next year) so my parents don't have to buy her a car.
Maybe I'm just being impatient and wanting the NSX now lol.

Same reply as above (impatience lol) ^^ thanks, I'm thinking of just keeping the S for now. Planning on giving it to my dad or buying him one after college since he feels so cool for once driving it hahah
lol hopefully they aren't

Well yeah it's like that in University too, but you can override it to a certain extent. In reality I guess I was hinting more towards medical school where you have to take 25-30 credit hours haha! I just finished my education at UCF 20 minutes ago, yay!

It's impossible to provide meaningful suggestions when an OP asks a highly subjective (i.e. depends on you) without providing info on the OP's situation, preferences, criteria, etc. Don't make people fish these things out of you. You need to explain what you're expecting from the NSX, what you're unhappy with regarding your S, etc etc. Don't just ask a question like this without such information. It's not a question with a one-size-fits-all answer.

Such responses may be a bit overboard but, again, you need to help others to help you. Don't expect useful responses if you don't post a question that people can work with (see above). Include your considerations if you want input on a topic. You get out of a thread what you're putting into it.

^ agree.

it's like me asking should i replace my s2000 with a lamborghini and not worry about near future? all i care about is fun NOW.

if i was OP, i would stay in school even if you get C's and get your degree. then look nicer things in life once you get a real job.

I used to drive a '93 G20 back in college. i would've been luckiest guy if i had the S2000 in college.

Do what you want it's your money, if your parents gave it to you more power to you, I grew up having fortunate parents who cared and gave me everything I wanted, hell they bought my first S. They also helped on my business venture which has made me become a more intelligent and more successful person. I've gave my mom a load of cash this year b/c my dad got laid off so now it's time for me to help them out and I will continue to do so. I'm glad I didn't go school early b/c I would be piled in so much debt. Plus I didn't know what I wanted to do, that doesn't mean I'm not going to go(I went one semester), but if you know how to make income and I mean GOOD income why waste you time? Time is money. Forget what other people say, do what you have to do, and learn from it. I'm in the same boat as you, but I'm going to wait it out a little so I can keep the CR and get NSX next spring. GL
