Default S2K -> R-Spec 2.0 Coupe

the times come, after enjoying my s2k for close to 2yrs i traded her in for a Genesis Coupe 2.0 R-Spec.

I can really say that the s2000 is a very unique and fun car to drive. Unfortunately i cannot afford both cars n needed some back seats. I took delivery of my new car 2 days ago, its black, yeah i know. 'have fun washing it"

i was looking at a couple cars including the SI, WRX, used evos.

decided my next car MUST be a turbo no MATTER WHAT! so that eliminated the SI. Even the used Evo X's where a bit more than i can afford.

so i came down to a RED Hatch WRX and R-SPEC 2.0.

after much contemplation i decided to take the Hyundai!

Why?
ITS NOT THE BEST AT ANYTHING BUT, ITS GOOD AT EVERYTHING!!! N CERTAINLY CARS POTENTIAL....

the WRX, was more than i was willing to spend on a WRX the way i wanted it, (Fast little sucker tho).

Im very please with my new purchase, as Hyundai offered 2k in rebates to assist with down payment. Leaving me with a very attractive but, inexpensive car.

Im sure you all know the details but, here is what caught my attention...

-sporty look
-6MT
-RWD
-FI from factory = easy power with simple tune
-Brembos

id post a picture but ists stock n you all know what that looks like. thanks for all the support here. n ill be coming back as the s2000 is one of my favorite cars.

oh and, i wont race any of you on my stock configuration, lol. ill LOOSE! illl wait for my $450 tune and then ill be ready.

btw, car rides and handles nicely...to very fast tho...

boost finally!!! yay.....

Congrats, let us know what you do to the car to bump up that horsepower. I'm curious how easy it is to jack up it past 300 horses.

I guess back seats can be important.

no idea on how to multiquote but,

wolfpacks2k: for the past 2 days ive been researching lots on how to increase performance and what not. seems like a tune with increased boost will put me at 234rwhp and 270wtq on stock everything. the exhaust seems to be what is causing it to keep power down as it is "pinched" in the middle. some of the guys with exhaust and tune seem to be roughly at 250ish and 300tqr.

dewey: that was my situation also "hyundai" but, i got it none the less. its a brand new car and has a 10yr/100k mile warranty. i wont mod anytime soon because of this. also i stated you have 2k in rebates so that puts you at 22k. from there you can work with it a bit more making it a 21k car. maybe less if theyre desperate to make a deal.

st4rk: ill upload some today as its my day off.

fishfryer: for me they were. as my mother doesnt drive, n i have a 10yr old brother also.

Congrats man. I certainly can't argue with you on this one. After only a few months with my S, I miss back seats. (I'll get a beater for that though! lol)

I would have picked the Genesis myself bro. Enjoy!

250 wheel hp with a tune and exhaust, impressive numbers for simple mods.
Can't fault you for your choice, I probably would've made the same choice, although I'd probably make mine the V6. Yeah, the 5.0 stang is a better and much more powerful car, but the V6 loaded is quite a bit cheaper and has a 10 year warranty.
Hoestly, I think the gen coupe has a great road presence, very pleasing at least to my eye, thumbs up man!
And don't feel bad about the whole 25K for a hyundai, some people spent 32K for a Honda or 80K for a Nissan, and look at how happy they are, lol.

I like turbo cars but its a shame you're gonna blow that 10yr warranty. It definitely looks good on the road.
