OK -- a dissenting opinion. Keep him banned. I always found him to be an insufferable boor, before I removed my pain and put him on my ignore list.

He may be a smart guy with great things to contribute, but you wouldn't know it from the way he posts. Participating in reasoned discourse in a mature manner is a standard I expect in self repecting forums, and I'm surprised he was tolerated this long.

I was tired of stevec's continuous and uncalled for attacks on me. He had access to dynos and testamonials from other members as witnesses and yet continued to attack me.

He was stuck in some retrograde situation and refused to move on. He was constantly calling me out for something he misunderstood and confabulated. It has been getting really old. I can't tell how many times he badmouthed me for not racing a viper that has been conspicuously absent. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...ic=320213&st=0 Although he didn't post in that thread (and it's not locked yet ) he constantly accused me inappropriately of backing down.

He lashed out constantly at some of us because he refused to believe an S2000 could be quick.

I put him on the ignore list and others would quote him so there was no escape.

He was always attacking me whenever I posted. When he posted it was trashing up the threads with bias and profanity until the moderators locked it.

Do I miss him? Yes, like a boil on my backside.
Should he be banned? Not my call.
The poor guy lives out in the boonies where there are very few nice cars and refuses to believe the cars we run across daily in So. Cal.
His situation is truely sad.

Bring him back. So what, his opinions were sometimes crude and sometimes didn't make sense. He added a spark and got discussions flowing.

If steve c is so smart why is he banned? He's banned because he's stupid and doesn't know when he's pushed too far. I for one gave him more credit than he deserved and cut him many breaks and he repaid me by telling one of the owners to go **** themselves.

The only reason he was here as long as he was is because I backed him against all of the moderators and against many long time contributing members. I knew his game and I told him many times to keep it in check and not force my hand and put me in a situation where I would need to take action against him. He ignored me and I withdrew my support for him being here. The result is that he's not here anymore, simple.

If you want to be a player then you need to know how the game is played. steve c screwed up. He got arrogant and figured he owned the game and could ignore the rules without consequence. He was wrong. I found him amusing but unfortunately he told that joke one too many times and went from funny to flop in a nanosecond.

He's gone, won't be back, pickup the pieces and move on.

he's a bit harsh at times, but i havn't seen a time that he's wrong yet (though i'm sure he has)

i think a car board needs guys like stevec to keep some of the crazy noobs in check about what they say. too much misinfo. could only completely screw up a forum. this almost happened on the Evo boards a little while ago....

I already notice there are fewer constructive threads that turn into flamefest in Car Talk. No complains here.
