I reserved a launch edition RST model because it's a refundable $100. Those reservations are already gone.
Not sure what I think about it, but I apparently have a year to decide if I really want one. Looks like a Ridgeline and Avalanche had a baby. Nice specs though for sure.

P.S. I also reserved a Ford Lightning and hopefully will be in the first wave or two of allocations since I reserved that within one minute of the reservations opening up. Allocations start opening tomorrow supposedly, so hope my local Ford dealer calls.
Also, have Rivian starting to get trucks out and Tesla has their Cybertruck on the horizon. Some cool truck hardware coming out!

I think the hummer is the one to get, but too bad it’s quite a bit more expensive. Will be interesting to see if they have production issues. I think that’s the only thing holding the Rivian back, but I’ve not followed that closely.

It's not a good looking truck. I am surprised Tesla didn't launch a truck platform sooner, it seems like the perfect platform since its large and no one worries about the weight.

I have a launch edition Hummer EV SUV reservation (not the truck) and I got to see it in person. It's okay, but it didn't look as cool as the Hummer truck for sure. So, wish I had gotten a Hummer truck First Edition reservation. Those are starting to roll off the assembly line in the last week or so.

I'm a refundable reservation pimp for sure.

It's really hard to be a GM fan when they insist on keeping those horrific squared wheel arches. But maybe that's just me.
Personally, my money will go to the first manufacturer to build something in RHD that'll tow over 7,700lb and cover more than 310 miles on a charge. It's tough living in the colonies.

Tesla removed the forecasted production date for the CyberTruck from their site yesterday, I believe. Given they haven't launched a single vehicle on time in their history, I don't think anyone was suprised.

I think it looks okay but I think the Rivian and F-150 Lightning look better. Lots of power here, which is great if you want it, but I'm wondering when someone will actually remember that people probably want range just as much as power, so they could downgrade the power and get more range... 250-300 miles is fine, not great, but if they could offer 400 miles with 400 hp (for instance), I have to think that'd be a lot more interesting to typical buyers. Most of us don't need 500-664 hp in our pickups (fun as it is!) but a lot of people use their trucks for long-distance driving. Seems to me that manufacturers are getting caught up in a spec war rather than a "practical use" war and let's face it - most of us would probably take range over power, given our normal use of our daily drivers (and that's what most trucks are - daily drivers)...
Lastly, 24" wheels? C'mon, GM - nobody wants or needs 24" wheels on a truck. Ridiculous. I know it comes with 18" on the base models but seriously, 24" wheels don't belong on a truck. Do they even make 24" tires that are heavy-load rated and will actually withstand any real "work"?
