[QUOTE=rai,Mar 13 2006, 12:44 PM] The engine is cast iron (I think) and weighs 300 lbs more than the GT (just for the engine).

That's about what a Lexus LS430 weighs or 2x the weight of an Elise.

But still it'll be fast in a straight line for the same price as an Elsie it has 2.5x the HP and more than 3x the TQ.

I'd like to see an even 500 hp to go with the name but close enough.
Hell, it's Ford. Call it whatever you want, it's only going to make 300

Wasn't the Supra's motor an iron block too? Still one hell of a fast car (modded) even with all that weight.

WTF? That's a heavy car. That means the 'vert will weigh more than two tons! It will probably still be very fast in a straight line, but forget about the cornering. I'm also curious to see what brake package they will fit to the car.

Yeah, IRS was a 200 lb mistake in the '03 -'04 Cobra IMO. They still turn like pigs so why compromise its drag ability? I am surprised they couldn't shave some weight off the GT500 considering that.
