Going Bonkers In Japan - GTR Station Wagons

To be completely frank, what you see pictured above is a R35 GT-R faced Nissan Stagea M35, a Japanese-market model produced from 2001 to 2007 which is commonly referred to as the Skyline Station Wagon as it is based on the Skyline/Infiniti G35 V35 platform. On show at the Nagoya Auto Trend show, this canny conversion from Japanese speciality tuner "Kids Heart", combines the front end of the almighty GT-R with the practical body of the Stagea.

Unfortunately, we don't have any information concerning the GT-R Wagon's hardware, but we reckon that you'd agree with us when we say that it would be a letdown if it isn't equipped with the GT-R's twin-turbo V6 engine.

If that wasn't enough, this GTR Wagon by Japan's Roadster Garage, also combines the body of a Nissan Stagea, with the front-end of the first-generation Skyline GT-R (1969-1972), the second-gen Skyline GT-R's (1972-1977) body trim and tail lamps, and the RB26DETT 2.6-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six powerplant of the R32-R34 Nissan Skyline GT-Rs.

We don't have any other details on the conversion as the Japanese tuner / builder has yet to publish any information on its official website, but we'll keep you posted if we find anything new.

Can someone ban this dude already? He is clearly just spamming the site.

For those that are unaware, he is mooching off of the site's "value" to search engines. A link to his crappy site from an established site like this one indicates to a search engine that s2ki.com is referring visitors to that site. They see it as a vote of confidence from an established site and they consider his site to be more valuable.

There is a right and wrong way to do this and he is doing it the wrong way. Adding useful content to a blog or forum and then taking advantage of a link back to your own site is acceptable. Just carpet bombing a site with a bunch of shitty articles that only link you back to a site with a bunch of shitty articles that were ripped off from other sites, is not the way to do it.

Nary an original thought to be found.

I think of this board like a community, like a bunch of guys standing around at a car meet shooting the breeze about cars, regardless of make, model, country of origin, etc.

The OP is like a vendor who sidles up to the group, and keeps mentioning his product in a not so discreet manner, while not really adding anything to the conversation, and using the board for personal gain.

It's the message board equivalent of finding a flier under your windshield wiper.

That's pretty fawkin' funny!

Side note: I saw my very first Porsche Panamera today...in an unimpressive blue color. Amazing that car commands $90k+... And an oddity to see here in New Bern, NC...a town of less than 30k people. Oh...and it was turning into Wal-Mart. I would've followed it in if I had noticed it sooner and wasn't already running behind on lunch with the wife.

I saw one up in DC several weeks ago, and I was actually way more impressed seeing it motion (and in person) than any of the online material. Maybe I was a touch giddy about seeing one, so I momentarily dismissed the station wagon profile.

Oddly enough, I also saw my very first Panamera today as well.

I thought it was beautiful on a micro level, however in terms of the general shape and profile of the thing- it's just damn ugly. It's a beautifully appointed ugly shape that goes like stink.

I've seen quite a few (benefit of having a Porsche store under your wing ) and I have to say that the best color combo is Black/Brown. And you should get the Panamera as a 4S because it screams and you need the AWD to keep the rubber on the pavement. This is the first Porsche in a while, aside from the GT2, where it is almost impossible to keep traction through 4 gears.

I thought my M5 was fast breaking traction at every gear shift through 4th, but the Panamera S will just keep spinning through the first 4 gears. With stickier rubber, I'd be interested in seeing what the real 0-60 and 0-120 times are.
