Default sparkplug/spark wire problem

Will my engine get screwed if one of the spark plug wires isn't connected? It's a minivan, auto horizontal 3.0 V6,
layout:
1 3 5
2 4 6

the 4th spark plug is not connected.
Would this do anything to the engine?

UTH is reserved for S2000 topics. Moving this to Car Talk.

In response to your question:
It wouldn't be a good idea to run it that way for too long. Unlike the new cars that "shut off" cylinders when power is not needed, your car will continue to spray fuel even though there is no spark. Cycling raw fuel that never gets burned continuously through a cylinder is not a good thing.
