Default Spoon NSX Type-R

Awesome... but what took so long to come up with this idea? And shouldn't Mugen have capitalized on this first since they are "closer" to Honda?

Spoon to recreate NSX Type-R in LHD trim for U.S.

[I]Honda's decision to only offer one Type-R model in the U.S.

sounds like they are a day late and a dollar short to me.

also, this is going to cost a ton of money for not much of a gain

Spoon has nothing else to do - there are no new Honda sports cars.

I had read about this a while ago and did the digging. I admit I've been quite on this as I don't believe it myself but did the sniffing.

When contacting them, they indicated roughly $70-80K USD.

Yes. You read that right.

Wifely won't let me, but i just HAD to find out. It's a steal.

(They take a used older NSX, and retrofit it with new spoon parts. In fact, you WANT them to take a older used one as it's cheaper. They completely redo the car up, including new control arms and suspension)

Now that the cat is out of the bag, there will be plenty of changed minds...

Is it 80K for everything, or do you add the old NSX to that cost? So we'd pay $100k+ for an old NSX with some go fast bits and a panda paint job?

So, for the price of a brand new Z06, you can add some suspension, aero, minor drivetrain, and weight reducing panels to an archaic NSX? Wow, what a deal. Go Spoon!!!!!
