I have a couple questions about the car if you guys know anything about it. One one would be what is reliablity like on it. This a n/a dohc version 1995 110k miles on it. My parents just bought it for my brother as his first car. Any thoughts on that. 222hp 200tq 5spd for a first car good idea?
I know its not a honda but its closely related to the Mitsubishi 3000gt which i know nothing about practically. My question is how does the engine like to be revved? Will redline kill it? or can you drive it like an s?

its about as reliable as a 3000gt, which isn't very reliable.
222hp and 200 ft/lbs may sound like a lot, but keep in mind it weighs in around 3100 pounds.

i had a 92 with over 100k until a year or so ago. it was a fun car. not fast, but with the 5-speed it had enough go. it felt faster than my friends' imports becuase it has a bit of torque. mine was from the original owner who loved it, so it was well-maintained. i had it painted, so i was the envy of my friends. little did they know i managed to get it (needing a clutch and cv joints) for just $1000!!
my suspension was beat and the tires i got were good, so i had lateral grip but when i did a quick switchback the car rolled like a boat. for a first car, that may be hard to predict if it happens. but it's big and heavy, so the driver will be somewhat safe in that sense
the car was somewhat expensive to maintain compared to less sporty cars--i spent around $200/month including tires, oil, and etc. Repairs were rare and often expensive. dodge/mitsu used a lot of expensive parts, and access (labor) is ok, but not great.
all in all, i really liked it for a cheap car.

3100lbs? i thought it was more like 3700?
the best number for the regular r/t I could find was in the 3100lbs ballpark.
