^^ I've had both also, both 05 models. I switched because I moved from the mountains in northern NM here to FL and didn't need the STi for a ski car any more.

So, for me, the big question is: where are you? If you're where winter is, I'd say go for an STI (which brings me to ask: does anyone know why they started capitalizing the "I"?). But the last sentence of cyber's first paragraph sums it up for me, if weather isn't a factor. HPH

STI seems like the safer bet in your case.

Well I'm selling mine, lets cut a deal haha

Thanks for the advice all. I do have a daily driver car if I want to keep it and I also have a bike. I was thinking of narrowing down the vehicles to one car, but I really am starting to lean towards another s2000. The STI seems like an economy car with sport stuff thrown into it. The s2000 was designed to be bad ass.

Any of you go FI with the S? Heard you need to get cyrogenically gears or something.
gears....what gears....?I'm on my stock gears.....

Well, I faced this ame issue before I got my S. I thought of the practicality of the sti and my wife actually wanted me to get it and only have 1 car. I chose the S since it's really the car I always wanted, then picked up a civic for daily duties. Now my wife is glad I have a convertible on nice days. I've driven both and sure the sti has more power, but then how much can you really use (or just go FI).

Yes, it went from STi to STI for the 2006 model year.

true you do have a point. I really dont speed at all in the vette. I just like to chill and have a car that CAN go pretty quick if I want it to. The S is fast enough for me.

If it's a daily driver and you like power get a STI if your not driving it daily and you want awesome handling and modest power get the S (not very enjoyable daily driver especially in the winter weather comming on). You owned both you should know what you like. Have you thought about an M3?
