so if the STi is ricey then evo = ricey too, I really don't see a connection with a STi being ricey, number one they will kill our S2k's on speed, almost all the parts on the STi are function based, huge hood scoop for the intercooler, wing might be alittle big, but then again it's a Subaru thing and follows rally heritage blah blah blah, no the STi may not be able to handle as well on a autocross course and stuff, but that's not essentially where the car belongs the car belongs on a dirt road where our S2k's don't belong, just because the car has gold rims (which again follows subaru heritage, and another thing some S2k's have gold rims also so does that make them ricey?) just my opinion this car is purposeful, makes gobs of power and has many goodys on that car many other cars don't have. so that's my opinion the STi is in no way ricey, you want ricey look at Civics with altezza's or un painted body kits etc. stuff like that, the STi does not fit in that classification. Just my opinion and I know it's open to flame.

Scot, I suggest you use a <joke coming> tag so some people here can know that you're joking

surprised about the STi brakes...agree with the body roll...fairly certain STi did that on purpose to soak up those bumps on the rally circuits
EVO may "feel" faster cause of the less linear power delivery.

Exactly. The STi starts to make decent power from down low and it's fairly smooth. The EVO feels slow under 3500rpm, but once it hits boost.....

Anybody who thinks an EVO is worlds better than a STi is kidding themselves, and vice versa.

dude, he's a 'paid' member. You're just a guest like the rest of us
I like to think that I helped "pay" for these forums by helping it get started way back when when all the S2000 owners aced the old forums and all moved over here.

That's exactly right because both cars are very closely matched
