Default Sti vs S2k

I love my s2000, the only gripe i have is the lack of torque is really annoying (i don't want to go FI either), dropping the top and taking sharp turns is a lot of fun, but lets be honest flooring an Sti is probably great too.

Heres the deal, My '98 passat is starting to shit out, i found a 2004 sti with 5,000 miles (not a typo 5000 miles) for around 20K, do you think selling the S for the Sti would be a good move?

I find the allure of awd indismissbale, as well as torque and acceleration.

The 2005 STI has a lot of little improvements over the 2004; better steering, better suspension, etc...

You already know my answer, and everyone else on this forum which happens to be an S2000 forum ...

Keep the S, sell the passat, and supercharge your S. I know you don't wanna go down the FI route BUT ... to my knowledge, the vortech and comptech blowers are carb legal and could be driven with minimal maintenance.

because i'm 22 and thats not economically feasable for me. I don't wanna give up the vert but having awd 4 doors and something i can drive year round sounds nice.

there are more things you can do with an sti than a s2000. once i went f/i awd i never went back to rwd

I have a r34 GTR and a gc8 sti type ra and i have not once thought of my old s2000

I was looking at an STi too when looking at a car to get over the summer. Get the STi if you are ready to get rid of the S2k.
