Supra MKIV
I've been going over many different scenarios as to what to do with my S including just sinking all my money into my S or getting rid of it and getting a Supra, notably a MKIV. I'm looking for someone who has either had both, or at least driven both extensively. I know before I start that I'm comparing a car that is mainly for the twisties (S2K) and one that is better suited to the straights (Supra). I've not had the ability to test drive a Supra yet and I love my S but I would just like to get some objective opinions on both. What did you like and what didn't you like on both? Thanks in advance. I hope this is in the correct forum.

2002 Yellow S2000
1998 White Supra (6 speed)
The S2000 was and has been one of the most fun cars I have ever driven. Its grip and peppy and high revving engine is a blast. The Supra is no where near as fun but it still a very fun car to drive. It has grip but no where near as tossable and the power delivery is of course the opposite of the 4 cylinder in the s2k.

I went from 1997 Supra TT -> 2002 S2K.
The Supra's power delivery is just tons of fun. Because of the way the sequential turbos work, the torque curve isn't flat at all so the car gives a nice rushing feeling once the 2nd turbo spools up.

at one time , i owned both..but mine is a N/A
- both are fun cars to own and drive. IMO, the S is a better handling car while the Supra IV has great potential for torque and power on a straightaway-especially a TC'd model.
like someone said, the Supra is a looker, everyone in the import industry knows its a classic. on the downside, its A 15+ year car..might need more tender lovin care .

Plenty of people on this site who've owned both, and you'll pretty much get the same response as above.
Everyone I know who went S2k->Supra liked the S better, some came back to S2ks.
i think the supra has the look of a timeless classic. im not a huge fan of the power ban in a supra...if you get one to make lots of power, the power ban comes on later and then it shoots right through it.
the S has the longer power ban, so when you get into the power, you can hold it much better
