Default SVT Lightning

A friend of mine picked this thing up a week ago. Normally, I wouldnt drool over such a large car but it was fun as hell!!! I mean it handled very well for a truck. He bought it from a cop for $22,000. The truck has about 25,000 miles on it. It has a few mods on it. The exhaust sounded scary as hell. It felt kinda good being in something big and fast. Just tap the throttle and the other drivers would turn there head. It was sooo easy to light the tires up. The"trucktrend" stats are 5.2 to 60 and 13.7 through the quarter. I'm sure his is a bit quicker.

Do you think it was a good buy at 22k ???

I've always liked those. It looks like someone tried to make it look like a Saleen with the stripes and number on the bumper.

$22k is just the down payment - gas will be the car note!

Funny!! The number on the bumper is the build number. I didnt know Saleens had them on the bumper too. Its kinda cool.

For comparison, there is a Silver SVT Lightning on Craigslist near me with only 3500mi on it. It's 100% factory original. They are asking $29,000.

I would think that all the mods on that blue one would detract from its market value.

A little on the pricier side considering it is 4 yrs old and modded. I'd expect between 17-19k.

I should've taken a pic of the interior. It was typical Ford, but it was spotless!! The seats didnt really show any sign of wear that a 3-4yr old car should. 6disc in dash,two-tone, RDS, all the toys.

IN the end what matters is your buddy's happy and he's ok with what he paid.

Actually he is VERY happy. He's got a 65 stang locked up that he's been restoring forever. And he's been looking at this truck for well over a year.
