Test Drive
I was given a ride at Gingerman last year in a 98 itr with only coilovers, track pads and falken azenis tires and I was thoroughly impressed. Granted the driver was an instructor, but the only car to lap us during that session was a modded evo, and yes there were several s2k's on the track. In the right hands the itr really is something special, but probably 99% of the general public has no idea of what it is really capable of.

Once my fiance's wrx wagon is paid off, I'll see if I can find one for a DD!!

No doubt the ITR is one of the best FWD handling cars ever. However, I would say that an S2000 has much more potential on the track than an ITR.
Any well driven car can be impressive, but the ITR has quite a bit less potential then the S2000 on a track. One of the most impressive track rides I have had was a spec miata. It's amazing what a properly setup miata with a good driver can do...
