There will be no Is 430 and no coup available. Those are internet rumors and photoshops. The original Is430 was built by TTEurope and was a one off jsut for the fun of it.

My wife has the IS300. Great car. Easier to drive than the s2000 -- much more comfortable and civilized, yet still handles well. Good torque, but could use more power.

No complaints.

I hear the V8 will come out before the new body style does to spark more interest in the current IS. The next IS will have the 3.4-3.5 V-6, which is good and bad. The good is it will come with more HP and be lighter, the bad is I doubt it will be as over-built as the 2JZ.

Actually, I've owned an 05 IS automatic and later switched to an 02 IS Manual . They are very reliable and dealers treat you very very well. I get internet, xbox, food, drinks everytime I go to Lexus. It could definately use more power but other than that, it is a very nice car. I would suggest a manual. I'm switching over to get an s2k to get something sportier so yeah. Good luck!
