That'd be a dream garage for me... Evo 8, GTR, and C6 Z06.
It's funny b.c once you hit the near "exotic" or "exotic" market, and you buy used, your true cost of ownership is lower than buying a brand new 3 series, if you can buy right. A friend of mine is a dealer who buys a new exotic every 6 months & hasn't spent a penny on maintenance or loss in value. Basically buys em, drives em, sells em. longest he kept a car was 8 months lol.

If only I were doing real shopping

Gorgeous car, and the mods on it are very well done. Makes almost 570 whp on 91 pump... on E85 I'm sure I could get 600-610 whp out of it. What a monster!
Wonder how hard it'd be to drive on track with 570 whp... :| I'm sure at stock whp it's more than a handful.
MA is much stricter than NY/NJ. Also if you still have 1-2 personal vehicles than it's not an issue if you are the owner to drive your dealership's cars as long as they are still listed for sale.
I agree with Fusion about the Z06. I test drove a colleague's Z06. I know that it's faster than my Ferrari and has higher limits. However, the car didn't feel faster (FWIW, I couldn't test the car's handling b/c it was a freeway run).
maybe I'm justifying an expensive purchase but part of the Ferrari's specialness is its feel. Can't be measure but IMO more important than shaving 1/5 of a second to the next stop light.

I have driven a handful of GTRs, between a stock '09, stock '12s, stock '12BE, and modded '09s and '12s. I absolutely love how quickly they rev and the handling is quite good for such a heavy car.
As much as I love the performance of the GTR, the Z06 is just such a better deal right now, especially if you look at '12s and newer GTRs.
The '12s are a completely different animal than the '09s. The '09s notoriously have gearbox issues, while the '12s have been, more or less, reliable (at least in comparison).
The '12s feel sharper, brake better, move with more haste...it's almost like driving a Corvette GS and then hopping into the Z06.
And considering how much more the '12s are to a used Z06... the Z06 just makes sense.

And don't forget, you'll get props on the road from 4yr olds to 104yr olds! Everyone loves corvette, car guys dig GTRs for sure but I get waves all day in my extremely outdates looking c5z06!
GTR feels like an Evo 9 with way more power. I like the transmission, it feels very much "alive" compared to other dual clutch gearboxes out there. Suspension/damping, steering...all remind me of the Evo 9. The engine's characteristics are also similar, as it's got a bit of lag down low...but the power is on another level.
IMO, the Z06 is more fun to drive....the sound, 3 pedals to control, trying to harness all that power through rwd. The GT-R is more impressive technologically, but it doesn't translate into higher fun factor, and it's too complex for my maintain-it-myself desires. I'd even prefer a C7 Z51 over a GT-R, assuming the reviews live up to the hype.
When tracking a car, do you want to blow away everyone b/c you're a better driver or b/c you have a car that takes little skill to dirve very fast? I'd also argue that being too much faster than everyone actually reduces the fun, as my greatest times on the track have been w/ very closely matched drivers/cars who made me work hard to stay ahead &/or close the gap.
