Too good to be true? Need Carfax Please
So, I was playing on autotrader and came across this. There's got to be a catch.
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_..._id=&car_year=2
2003 BMW Z4 3.0 w/ 6,607 miles for $16k. I contacted the guy and here what he wrote:
Me: autotrader has your car priced at $16k, what's the catch?
Him: Hi, I put the car at this price because I need the money as soon as posible. Thanks
Can't he just sell this to a dealer for much higher than just $16k? Or is this too good to be true? Let's find out. Can anyone do a carfax for me on this VIN: 4USBT53463LT20836
If it's legit, I'll go check it out this Sunday, but highly doubtful at this moment.
Thanks,
LT

be VERY VERY careful. lots of scams out there. and, yes, i think he'd get more than 16K from a dealer. I think one could dump a '00 for that at a dealer.
considering they are about $40K, why do you think he'd sell it for 40% of the MSRP in ONE year?? don't let curiosity get the best of you. don't pay for it without a TITLE.
