* I know you can throw slicks on other cars and make them faster too. But, I personally can afford a C6 and slicks and not a gallardo and slicks!! And the GT3 RS and 360 CS both come with sticky tires.

Are you two serious? Top Gear the tv show in Britian? They were driven at their test track by the Stig.

I've only seen the show a couple of times. I didn't know they had their own test track. Regardless, the C6 posts some impressive numbers. It looks way better in person too.

 

Top Gear's track times are entertaining, but not done with any apparent scientific controls in place (e.g. some cars run in the rain, and some run in the dry), so they shouldn't be interpreted as anything more than entertaining.

It would be interesting to see how the C6 Z51 on non-run-flat tires compares to the C5 Z06. Chevy's been very adamant that the Z06 is faster, but I'd like to see an independent entity verify that and quantify the difference between the two.
