trade S2k for G35coupe...
im thinking about trading in my 01 S2000 for a G35. goin for a lil more space anybody have any comments or imputs on the G35 anyone with current or past experiences would be helpful.
I have no complaints. I went from a G35 to a S2K. I need to save more money for a house. They both have its pro's and con's. One thing I love about the S2K is the handling. The G35 will feel solid but heavy. The G35 has a good flat torque curve yet the S2K has a high rpm. The room is nice but the trunk isn't that much bigger IMO. Good thing about Infiniti was I was treated very well when I had warranty work. Got a loaner car I could beat up. I do love the look of the G35...luxurious yet has a sporty appeal versus a S2k which is more sporty.
Your just gonna miss the sporty aspect compared to the S2K. The only car I would get after the S2K would be a M3. Oh yeah Im referring to a G35 coupe!
Good luck on your purchase!

That is a terrible idea. The residual on those cars is falling faster than an anchor in air.
Plus they're just garbage. Get an e36 m3 if you want similar performance... and save a lot of money.

nnkfws3333 im feelin on what you are sayin totally and we got the same ideas and opinions. but areng could you explain why the car is garbage. what year is the e36 M3 cause the most ima spend ona car right now is bout 35k(thats addings s2000 tradein)
The G35 may be years newer than the E36 M3, but it doesn't really have an edge on it performance-wise.
Maybe I'm biased because every 3rd car here in Los Angeles now is a G35 or a 350z. It gets extremely tiring. They are usually all boy-racers too who try to hit me up at every light.
I'm not the best driver really... so I am going to say that my driving skill wasn't my edge here, but all 4 times that I have come accross 350z's and G35 coupes at the track, they have not been able to keep up, and I have been all up behind them.
You can score an older M3 for ~10-15,000 dollars... which leaves a lot of money in your pocket as well.

I'm not saying it's slower. I'm saying they are comparable in speed... but that's not why I call it garbage.
I think it's garbage because it's nothing special any more. They're way too common, and imo overrated because for being a new performance coupe, they hardly compete against bimmers designed 15 years ago - which can be purchased now at a fraction of the cost.
