It doesn't have the name, badge nor the prestige/heritage to be the ultimate exotic. Did you think speed/weight is the only equation of what it take to be an ultimate exotic?

koenigsegg is very well known with car enthusiast now a days like zondas if anyone knows about cars they will know what the company is and even if they dont like the car respect it as an exotic regardless.

oh and according to koenigsegg's website the ccx dryweight is
Dry weight: 1280 kg (2821 lbs)
so i would go with that over anything else

and about the engine, yes its based upon the ford but the prodrive p2 is based on a Subaru r1 and they aren't even close. So i'm gonna agree with zx-10, while it is based on the ford v8, koenigsegg made it their own in my mind

 

not bad....not in the same class with the 'Egg, but nice....looks like a cross between and Elise and the CCX

 

i'm much more on the practical side i guess. nsx type-r would be "exotic enough" for me.

<sigh> Can't really blame zx10 for the downward spiral this thread is going towards, I can see the mods' perspective a little now.

 

To each to their own, I'm pretty sure the ZR1 is a bad ass car, and GM is very respectable for building such a car. They wanted a bad ass car, so they found the best brakes they could for it. Sounds like a winning plan. But since it's a Chevy or Domestic, no way is it an awesome performance car right?
