Talked to my local Porsche tech, the 21's are a mistake bone stock cars that are being tracked on the factory Cup 2's are rubbing and the fenders need to be rolled to clear the stock wheels/tires for track use.
They aren't $299k, that's a result of the up-to $150k markup that most dealers are putting on these. It's ridiculous and unrealistic, but the prices are already coming down as they're making quite a few of them.
Agreed, Porsche RS cars are some of the only cars that come from the factory with a truly flush wheel fitment.

It's not 150K markup it's about 50-75K mark up. There's no new 16 RS for 150K MSRP even with no options.

Yes, I can do math. I was offered one with a $140,000 markup last week. Notice I said "up-to $150k."
