Without having driven those car, my preference would be:

1) WRX
2) GTI
3) Focus ST
4) FRS
5) MX-5
6) Fiesta ST
7) Civic SI
8) Juke

There's just no way I'd take a fiesta st over an MKVII GTI or 2015 WRX.

2) FRS

Ignore the rest, they're not RWD. MX-5 wins because convertible.

Grubinski I respect the preferences, those would likely be the most fun to drive.

Because you already own an s2000?

Do any brand new cars interest you for $30,000 or less MSRP?

Because I've had an S2000 there isn't much I'd replace it with. Keep in mind the S2000 was higher MSRP then these cars.

Most cars that interest me now are $50K+

don't care about the rest, but I have pretty much aged out of this segment as well. My old butt wants euro sedans now.

I would take any of them except for the Honda.

FiST, top of my list for a fun cheap car that has some practicality.
FoST, good alternative if you need slightly more space
Golf/GTI, new platform, new engines, classic formula. Personal preference would be for a TDI 6MT Golf Sportswagen though.
WRX, much improved, disappointed in lack of hatch
FR-S, solid contender for low price sports car, but essentially an 80% s2000.
Miata, NC is super long in the tooth, if its an ND it shoots to the top of the list
Juke, always had a weird attraction to these, but they are way smaller than you would think (inside).

Civic Si, lol wut?

Focus ST and WRX would be the only two I would consider.

I don't care for the looks of the Juke or Si. My S2000 is not going anywhere so that negates the FRS and MX-5. The Fiesta ST is cool but seems a bit small. I love everything about the GTI except for the fact that it's a VW.
