Default Under MSRP for a New Civic

Can the new civics be had for under MSRP yet? Not sure what the demand is for them since they are relatively new. Thanks for any info.

Yes, unless you're talking about the Si. Those are tough to get below MSRP (tough to get, period) right now. Some people got a new Civic for under MSRP as soon as it came out - it's a bread and butter car, not an exotic. Same goes for the Accord (which has awesome lease deals as well).

Si's can be had for under MSRP, you just need to know how to shop.

Just go to honda's website, type in your zip code for closest dealer, and then search their website.
Here's one down the street from me. http://arlhonda.brownscar.com/New-Inventor...toryId=10507541
They only have automatics, but MSRP of Civic EX coupe auto is $19,810 and advertised for $17,999.
That's about $2k off MSRP, so I'm guessing the manual should be about $600-800 less.

Good luck!

My friend paid more than that for a EX sedan. Si's go for $27k in my area (Bay Area). I wasn't even going to post on this thread because I never realized it was possible to pay under MSRP for such a hot item. I guess it depends on the place you live near.

Do you actually know anyone who has paid $27k for an FG2 Si in the Bay Area? I know SF honda was listing a black Si for that price, but that doesnt mean someone actually paid that amount.
