Default Upgrade to 6 Series?

Hey guys, I am looking at picking up a 6 series. I have been doing my research, but wanted to see if any current S owners had experience with a 6; more specifically the 650. I know the S and 650 are very different cars, but what differences (pro/con) were most noticeable to you? Any reliability issues?

thanks in advance!

I've driven the drop head 6 series... very nice cars... but I wasn't impressed by it for the price. For the same money you can get a newer M5. thats just me though.

I'm not impressed with them as sports cars, but they are nice GT cars. You're talking about something that weighs half a ton more than the S and has barely more room. I'd also say M5 or M3 convertible are better options.

Thanks guys. Although I still love the S, and will likely be keeping it for a while, the stiff ride and noise are starting to get to me... especially since it is my daily driver. I am also looking for a little more exclusivity. A GT car what i'm looking for as I'm not quite ready to buy a sedan yet. I'm guessing there aren't many 6er owners on this forum.

hmm i found some sl500s in the same price range, no local amg in the range ones... thanks for the tip. I like both, the sl being more of a classic design whereas the 6 is a little more modern. lookin for cars is fun and frustrating at the same time.

I'd go for an Audi S5 instead, personally. The BMW looks like a beached whale.
