Default USDM Integra Type R

I just found a 2000 Acura Integra Type R for sale with 89,000 kms.

It's pure stock, but there's a few things bothering me.

1. The dude had no idea what a clean title is, but once I told him he said "o no it has a clean title. Everything original...except there was a minor accident on the quarter panel that my dad fixed. Hes an auto mechanic." Which tells me it's most likely owned by someone around 17-20 years old and either Paki or Asian(The car's located in Toronto). Which might mean he drove it hard being a kid.
2. It's got 89,000 KILOMETERS, or 55,000ish miles for some of you Americans, it's in yellow(the color I love) and he only wants 11,000? The KBB value is well over 14,000.
3. Everytime I look at a Canadian or American Type R they always have yellow fog lights, this one has white/clear fog lights and the exhaust looks like it's completely wrong.

Here's some pics, the dude also sat in a massive ganster lean.

Thanks.

I love these cars. I was partial to the 98' though!

I'd still be wary about this one though. I don't know how the term "Clean Title" can be mistaken for anything but.

aside from your stupid 'race' predictions...

exhaust is indeed not correct

engine bay and components look good

be sure to look at the car on a nice sunny day so you can make out any panel color differences.

maybe just a deal?

This is exactly why I made this thread. Thanks guys. I sent him an email asking if there are any modifications/performance mods to see if he even knows there's a DC header.

Also, what about the fact that there looks to be a tiny bit of red paint on the head?

The car looks suspect. They don't usually sell for that cheap in Canada. I paid way more for my 98 in Ontario and mine had a lot more mile then this one. be careful. Ask him to email or fax you the used car package for the vehicle. It'll only cost him $13 to get it. It will give you some information about the car.

He didn't advertise the price on the ad itself. It says "please contact" and I was expecting maybe 15-18,000, when he said 11,000 I was instantly weirded out and interested at the same time.

I found a JDM front end conversion in Toronto for 999, fenders, bumper, lights and hood, used of course. I'm also partial to the 98's so I might pick that up as well.

Make sure it's an authentic type R, because over here in NYC there are alot of inegra's advertised as type R's but are not real.
