Default USDM STi is catching up with the EVO

Good to see they are catching up to the EVO, fastest EVO I believe is still Turbotrix's 9.7@146. According to the owner of the STi, it's still running on the stock tranny. And the clutch is slipping during that run, hopefully it'll get closer to the EVO's record once they get a clutch to hold the 700whp that it's making. Good to see the STi is getting closer to where the EVO is, not bad for a motor that's only been around for 2 years.

Edit: found another clip,

Are these cars meant to be dragsters?

How are they doing keeping up with the world's fastest muscle cars?

Dragging an EVO and an STi?? What's the point?

Oh, and Mitsubishi is bring the FQ400 over here. So that's gonna put the stink on the STi.

Yeah, I think the Spec C is a much better package than the FQ400. To me, it seems like Mitsubishi just wanted to get 400hp no matter what it takes.. even if that meant a rediculous amount of turbo lag.

If you convert it directly from British Pounds to American Dollars, then yes, it's near $80K (

You say that the FQ400 is coming? Im curious as I had not heard of this before.

Also, the FQ400 is made a FQ400 by a third party... ala ESX/STi... although the FQ400 is executed much better than the ESX POS...

Anyways.. that STi is from Puerto Rico and has made many many passes in the 10s and yes it is on stock tranny and on UTEC (which is amazing)...

I never heard of this either. I know in Motor Trend, or one of the 1/2 dozen car mags I get, they did mention if the Brits can do it why can't we?
