Default Used car prices going up

I have been looking to get into a one owner AP2 S2000 again but the prices have put them near 20k around my parts.

Thing is, for 20k I can get a whole different animal of a car for a used sports car weekend toy.

Have been considering getting other cars because of the prices... have you guys been swayed by prices?

Depends on where you live. Here in Austin, winter is often more favorable for top down driving than summer. Also, it looks like S2000 prices are firming up in general as more people appreciate them following the end of production, and nice examples are dwindling in numbers. I expect these factors will put a floor on pricing, which will trend down in winter, but not plumment.

Yeah prices round here are strong, used car pricesin general are pretty strong. If you deduce it, the s2000 offers quite the value for a fun car and there really isnt anything out there for less money. I remember 3 years ago you could buy 02/03s all day for uner 14k in good condition, these days the prices are about the same or more.

I was going to sell my Ap1 Silverstone and get a GPW Ap2, but a 2005-07 with 50k miles or less in good condition are $20k+. Not worth it in my situation, considering mine is a 2003 with 67k miles and almost complete Ap2 conversion. I was thinking of selling mine now and cashing out while prices are sky high and look patiently nationwide (prefer the warm climate states). But Idk, sure is nice having no car payment. As of right now, u can say I am passing on the idea, though it is subject to change without notice. I'm thinkng a used Comptech Supercharger will even the gap!!
