Default Using DashCommand Style App's On Older Vehicles?

Not sure if this is the correct place to post but s2ki is one of the most informative forums I've had the pleasure of being involved with. I sold the s2k a while back and drove a beater and recently picked up a 32 GTR. I went out and went a bit crazy buying a tablet in hopes of using Dashcommand forgetting the vehicle was too old to have obd2.. So my question is are there any ways around this? Innovate's tool using obd2 as well so im at a loss for how I can do this if its even possible to begin with.

I'm just guessing here (well, more than just a guess, I suppose; I've worked with several aftermarket ECUs and tuning apps), but it you'll be out of luck. The OBDII format and data connection is not similar to an OBD0 or OBDI configuration.

I was tinkering with the idea of wiring an obd2 connection but didn't know exactly how much trouble it would be. I have experience with wiring things up but havn't messed with the skyline before haha.
