Pretty cool. GEN 3 motors are a bargain and the best choice for a project like this. GEN IV motors are 3-4X the price and can't be turboed or supercharged with a sheit because of the complicated cam phasing going on.

wouldnt an ls1 and ls3 be much cheaper and easier to do? I know it's something different but I fail to see a plus side.

Definately different... seems like the diff would blow up the very first time it was floored.. 500+lb ft of american torque vs 150 japanese rodents...?? LOL

Pretty cool if you ask me. How do these Vioer motors weigh compared to a s2000 motor or a ls motor?

The stock diff would be torn to shreds with even 1/2 of the Viper's torque.
