What do you guys/gals think about the recent press release of the 2004 Audi TT w/V6 and SMG-like transmission?

I believe it's the 3.2L VR6 that's in the R32 Golf, that will be in the TT. it makes 250hp, and an 11.3:1 compression ratio.

here's a link to an article... link

I would not consider purchasing one. If I'm gonna spend >$40k on a "sports car" I want one that is sub 5 second 0-60. The TT's are a great car, but they are no performance monster. Even with a 250hp engine, it's still a tank.

Still not enough power for the car - it needs more like 300hp to get it to where it should be. I hope they tightened up the suspension, too...
