i watched it 20 times and he's going straight and makes almost a sudden, calculated jerk towards the water....he doesn't even try to correct once his car goes off the road (which he would definitely feel even if he wasn't looking at the road)...

I really think the guy ditched it on purpose. I also read he left the motor running and it finally died after 15 minutes. Seriously???

Major insurance fraud. I hope his carrier denies him.

I would go for insurance fraud as well as there doesn't really seem to be a reason for him to wreck... but, playing Devil's advocate here - the air brake does go up and he does counter steer - but whos to say that when you're intentially ditching a 1.6M+ dollar car you wouldn't be a little scared and do the same.

Who knows - regardless, if hes in the financial position to buy a car of that caliber - can't say I feel 'bad' for him on any level beyond his principles and integrity, or lack thereof. Everything else - from his medical coverage, the home(s) he lives in, the other cars he owns... well I'm sure he'll be just fine. If it was fraud, he has to sleep with himself - but lets not forget the tried and true saying, "theres rarely such a thing as an honest millionare".
