Way to tell difference between Volvo C70's
I heard there are two different turbos for the C70?
Does anyone know the year/body difference between the two engines?
Don't know what to look for when looking at these cars.

To the best of my knowledge, it is just a high pressure/low pressure turbo option, and it was available on more than just the C70, actually on the whole lineup.
I don't know if there's any body difference between the cars....I think they're the same.

2.4 lt is the low pressure and i think the only engine on the first C70, then the larger engine came. that is the 2.3 lt T-5. the difference is really above 50-60 miles per hour, the high pressure just sings. it has 236 to 240 hp and the lower pressure has about 190 hp. they look idential, but if you look at the little sticker for the engine management info you will find either 2.4 or 2.3 lt on it. you want the 2.3 lt engine.
this refers to the C70 up to around 2004, then they may have put a larger displacement into the cars, but it is still a 5 cyl and the T5 is the one to get.

I don't know the answer to your question. But it sounds like you are shopping for a C70, so I wanted to give you my impessions of it. My father had one for about 1 year. He had a 2000 model that he bought used with around 40,000 mi. It was the High Pressure Turbo model with an automatic transmission. It also had some factory sport wheel/tire package with Pilot Sport tires. I think they were 17"ers.
Nice car, well appointed, very rare, people were always asking "what kind of car is that?." But good lord, that C70 was the worst handling, worst driving car I have ever piloted in my life. (I'm sorry. Maybe that's a little exaggeration because it did drive marginally better than my parent's 1989 Mercury Sable Wagon.) That C70 was 0 fun to drive. It plowed like nothing else and had more body roll than a Lincoln Town car I once rented. The C70s brakes looked like they were big and beefy, but they could not slow the car down very rapidly, and the ABS system was hyper-active. It was pretty impressive in a stright line acceleration once the turbo spooled up. But trying to pass or accelerate on the highway involved a lot of planning ahead - apply throttle...1...2...3...4...5seconds...BOOST!
On a positive note. My dad had no catastrophic mechanical problems with the car in the year that he owned it.
I guess what I am trying to say is make sure you test drive the C70 before you buy one.

My gf has one now. A 2001 that we got certified a little over a year ago. I don't like the car, she loves it. We have a vert too, just to be clear. Talk about body flex, ugh, can't stand it. Also, forget about a tight turning radius, the whole wheel fights you the slower, and harder a turn (like into a tight parking spot).
It is well appointed though, and has great seats. And it's a good looking car.
