Thumbs up We Can't Decide

I am having this problem and it is driving me insane for the past couple of weeks, I cant take it any more.

I was a proud owner of a 2000 Accord Coupe V6 and a 2000 S2000. Shortly after, my S2000 go into an accident and I replaced it with a 2002 Porsche Boxster S Tip .

My dad owns a 2003 Audi S4, 2000 Porsche Boxster, and a 1998 BMW ///M5 .

I love my life, since I gets to drive a Boxster S and a M5. It's like Beauty and the Beast.

Well, a month ago, he sold the M5. , I was like, wtf? not really, but you know what I mean. My life just fell apart, I barely eat, I lost weight, I cant sleep, I went into this depression, like a part of me was missing .

Well, 2 weeks ago, he called me and say that we have to talk. I was like, what the hell are you up to? He game me this problem that I cant solve. So here it is. I am sure both me and you are fully aware of what both of these machines can do. I am really looking for your opinion and why you choose it. He is looking to get it soon, Spring of 2007 at the latest.

- Keep the Boxster. Sell the S4 and get a Porsche 997 Turbo.
- Keep the S4. Sell the Boxster and get a Mercedes-Benz CLS55.

Hmm, I didn't know there was a '98 M5.

997 Turbo all the way, though you can't go wrong with a CLS either.

Hmm, I don't really understand the logic behind it..
If you get the 997 Turbo you've got that and a Boxster. So, essentially two 2 seaters.
If you get the CLS55 you keep the S4 and you end up with two sedans.

Did you mean the opposite? S4 and 997, or CLS55 and Boxster? That would make more sense assuming you need one 4 seater.

My choice would be to sell the Boxster and pick up the 997. I'd never drive a Boxster if I had a 997 turbo, so it would be wasteful. With the S4 you still have a nice car that can hold 4 comfortably. On the other hand, the CLS55 would be a lot less $ than the 997.

997 Turbo has four seats, though I wouldn't want to drive a couple hundred miles in the back. Around town for 30 minutes would be fine, though...

997 for me. It's a driver's car. The CLS 55, eh, pretty but does nothing for me. I know it gets great reviews, I see three of them at my gym all the time, and I still couldn't see myself wanting one. A 997 Turbo, who could resist?

There wasn't a 98 M5, was there?
There wasn't a 03 Audi S4, was there?

I don't see why you'd be losing sleep over your daddy's car.

I'd personally pick a 997 turbo, but I'm not a middle-aged father.

It's his money, why don't you suggest he gets whichever car suits him best?

Yes, Thanks Malloric, I meant to say sell the S4 to and get the CLS55 or sell the Boxster to get the Turbo.

The M5 is a 2000, It was the 1st year of the E39.
The S4 was the last of the previous style. Not sure if it was a 02 or 03.
I'd never liked Audi.

I reason why I am loosing sleep over it is that I am very close to my dad and both of us loves talking and sharing our though about cars of all kind. And beside, I will drive one of the new car also. We both have very similar taste in cars. Like how both of us loved the previous M5 but dont realy care for the new Banglelized M5 V10. Both of us loved the E55, it was supposed to be our 1st choice but the car looked aged. Both of use will take a F430 over a Gallardo anytime. But he kinda likes domestic cars more than me.

Both of U do know that getting the 997T will be more satisfying, but we somehow just cant say no to the CLS55.
