what do i do with this car?
I just bought a bone stock 1990 240sx with 70k miles on the clock today. it's also a 5pd hatchback model. body is in ok shape but interior is in great condition. The owner was the original owner, He's a friend of my parents.
The car has been sitting for the past 4 yrs. So I gotta change all the fluid on the car. Other than that, the car starts up today and I actually drove it a little. I know, I shouldn't but gotta wake it up right?
I bought the car real cheap. I was thinking to make it my DD. or project. But not sure anymore.
What would you do with it? Consider the year of this car. It's in great shape. Really just need to change the fluid and it should be good to go. and it's bone stock.
change all the fluid, sell it to make a profit? or just keep it? hope it will become a classic some day?

This car will not become a classic. It depends on what you want to do with it. You can use it for a great daily driver since it's cheap to maintain or you can turn it into a project. There are great forums around with tons of info. (nicoclub, freshalloy, zilvia, 240sxforums, etc.). Engine swaps are definitely popular for these cars since everyone has already done it and every Nissan RWD platform's engine can fit in with some work (ca18det, sr20det, RB20DET, RB25DET, RB26DET, VG's, VQ's, etc.)
Do whatever you want to it as long as you have fun. If you want to learn about drifting it's a great starter or just about Nissans, do it. I've had my fair share of them swapping in CA's and SR's and I loved doing it. Great learning experience and easy car to work on.

Don't do a motorswap. The KA24E (SOHC) is the sh*ttier of the NA motors available (89-90?) what would've been nicer is the KA24DE (DOHC) but it's plenty good for getting around town and even if you want to learn how to drift or do some trackdays, enough power to have fun with.
It only needs 87 octane too.. w00t!
If anything get her back in 100% roadworthy status and then *maybe* throw down some coil-overs, sways, strut towerbars, and if you're feeling adventurous a clutch-type LSD LATER.
At a minimum at least get some better tires or maybe a wheel/tire combo upgrade.
Otherwise? *DONE*
