Default What would you do?

You have the means to buy the s2k, c6 vette, 135/335, or 370z. Given the current economic conditions and future plans to get a house, MBA, etc. what would you do right now? I can afford the s2k almost immediately or wait and get any of the others within 6mos. Im looking for the best combo of sport and luxury but cheaper is better. My current daily is my 98 prelude.

If "cheaper" is your main concern, I'd go with the S2k.
In those list of yours, the S2000 seems to have the most fun/$ factor.

I'd be looking at the 370Z first, then the C6 or bimmer. I can't see buying a new S2000 now when you can get good used ones for cheap, plus the others will all have more lux than the S.

I'm guessing you're not in need of the extra space the 135/335 Bimmers will give you, so if money is a primary concern, I'd go with the S. If you're not worried about money, the C6 Vette is a pretty good bang for the buck sports car.

Yea i don't need back seats, but i don't mind having them either. I just don't want the half-a$$ed back seats like in my lude where no one wants to sit in back. The 135/335 seem to be fine in that regard.

I've got the money, the question is should i spend it on a car under these conditions? I want to be responsible yet not regret my decision as "going cheap" when i look back. Whatever i get will stay with me for 6-10 years.

Then S2000 all the way. If you want something reliable, Hondas are always the answer.

Given the scenario ur talking about (house and mba in the future), none of the above. You're goign to need at least 20% if you want to qualify for a loan, and a good MBA program will run you 20-100K depending on school. So unless you're making the big bucks now or getting help, a nice car should be fairly low on your list. So with all this said, if you must get soemthing off that list, I'd go with a used s2000, could get fairly new ap2s now for under 20K in good condition all day long, low operational cost (near 30mpg possible, 4 cyl maitenance except with oil, skinny 16 or 17 tires vs. 18, honda prices).
20K vs. 40K (starting) for a new 335i, 20K in a roth now will be quite nice when you're ready to retire, would you rather have that or a faded memory of owning a 335i decades ago?
