he does have a helmet, gloves and some sort of jacket maybe?

those shorts only look gay but not much protection in denim jeans either

if you must wear street cloths on a bike, wear a safety jacket and pants under.
dainese and sixstone make safety jackets
Bohn makes some pants
http://www.bohnarmor.com/pants.php

draggin jeans may do a little

Do you have the Bohn pants? I am curious as to how the comfort is under street clothes and how hot and sweaty they get. Is this something you could reasonably wear for a while say if you rode your motorcycle to dinner or some similar situation where you would be off your bike for a while and not want to be the only person in leather pants.
i do not have the Bohn pants but a few pair of the Dainese Summer Pants. Dainese seems not selling them, at lest in n america. they look the same, probably make in the same factory in VietNam.

they work well and at least offer some protection.

Got a link to the speculation on this 750 model?
I think every bike forum including s2ki bike section has rumors floating around. I think kekoa mentioned something about having spoken to an R&D guy...who could not share any official information with us . I found some threads a year old speculating a full line up for 07. and a full makeover on the bikes. better brakes and slipper clutch would be perfection .

According to the people at Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha they have no intentions of returning to the market witha 750 cc supersport to compete with the GSXR 750. That being said though since MotoGP is going to an 800cc inline 4 format (or 1200cc V-twin) there could be that possibility of a 750cc comeback. It's not like the days of old however where people bought what won the races. If that were the case no one would buy Suzuki's since they don't win jack in MotoGP

For warm weather I've found that the "mesh" apparel from Fieldsheer and others is a pretty good compromise.

FS's Titanium and the now discontinued Sonic Air jackets and pants can all be worn over street clothes, although the pants don't go on as easily as overpants: I have to fold my dress pant's legs and roll my socks over to get the overpants on, followed by my riding boots. I just keep two pair of dress shoes in my office at work. When the destination isn't work, I usually wear shorts & a Tshirt under the mesh... nice. Best of all, the jackets and pants zip together... after all, a jacket's no good once it and everything under it gets pulled up to your armpits as you slide along the asphalt.

The mesh apparel does a good job of flowing air even on 90+ degree days; although, if you get caught sitting in traffic you can really work up a pretty good sweat. But, most importantly, it does a great job of saving your skin (and street clothes) in a shunt. In fact, having just recently been in a nasty shunt on the way home from work, the mesh, padding, and soft armor limited my injuries to a few sore muscles and a charlie horse in my thigh after it smacked a clip-on on the way off the bike.

Bottom Line: I'd rather sweat than bleed.
