If he's going to clear my clouded headlights for only
$10, I don't care how bad he spells!

I imagine for $10, it'll be a 10 year old rag that he throws on the ground to let dry, then picks it back up with gravel and stones to buff your car. $20 school car washes often do that.

Since we're all being a bunch of hypocritical grammar Nazis, I might as well join in the party.

"badly".

Minor errors vs the author's own interpretation of the English language? We all commit infractions and occassionally misdemeanors, but we all want murderers put away. All of these consistitute crimes, so are we hypocrites for thinking a murderer deserves his punishment when we curse the government and its employees for serving justice when we skew over the speed limit? Apples and oranges, buddy.

Dude, shut up! The guy is asking to polish headlights for 10 focking bucks, not represent you as your attorney in a court of law. When an attorney who can barely write or spell, then it's a major problem. When a headlight polisher who doesn't write very well, then who gives a fock. Some mechanics who can barely spell but know about engines better than the backs of their hands, their spelling wouldn't matter that much.

Speaking of infractions, does anyone else find the "apples and oranges" cliche ridiculous (in general, not in your quote)? Anyone with half a brain can legitimately compare apples and oranges and make relative judgments about them.

He means when he speeds it's an apple, but when headlight polishers misspell it's an orange.

What? I was relating the quoted poster's claim that we're all hypocrites to him comparing two different levels of fault. One is minor accidental errors in spelling, where as the other is an egregious re-definition of English grammar. Then I related that to another form of low level mistake to high level mistake.
