I've personally seen some of them jump out of a ~2-meter hole in a stationary position.

They're still Buddhist monks; have a little respect. They train to jump in holes; as they advance, the holes get deeper.
So they'll still get out anyway? I'll have to rethink my approach. However you do it, the hardest part is catching them. So far I am 0 for 173.
Jokes aside, they do do some pretty amazing things.
Ok then, let me disrespect some child-molesting, prostitute-doing, gambling, etc. priests a little. Let me see, who's more respectable, a Buddhist monk who practices Buddhism, lives a very simple lifestyle, and trains in martial arts, or a child-molesting, money-hungry, gambling, etc. priest?
My local parish priest drives a Lexus LS460, lives in a nice brick house, has a house keeper, has a belly bigger than most women's 9-month pregnant bellies, etc. Yet, every time I see him, I would still smile and wave. Is he YOUR kind of holy man that you look up to?

No, no reason to respect the things you say.

Buddhist monks walk away from sex-abuse cases
A protest was held Sunday at a Buddhist temple on Chicago's Southwest Side--where a monk accused of sexual assault formerly lived and worked.
Protesters affiliated with the Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests (SNAP) distributed flyers about Camnong Boa-Ubol, who has been accused of sexually assaulting two underage girls and impregnating one of them. Despite these allegations, Boa-Ubol is still actively overseeing another temple in Long Beach, Calif.
According to SNAP, P. Boonshoo Sriburin, the head monk of Chicago temple Wat Dhammaram, was well aware of Boa-Ubol's alleged sexual abuse of a 13-year-old child. In 2000, the young girl gave birth and a DNA test proved that the monk fathered the baby, ABC Chicago reports. A second woman has also accused the monk of similar attacks.
"The head of the temple was well aware of it and yet no one from the temple reported this incident to the police," SNAP founder and president Barbara Blaine told ABC. "We believe these officials of this Buddhist temple have been reckless at putting children at risk."
