I'd have thought it would have been faster to 60 not having to shift - but it probably has significant traction issues getting off the line. The 1/4 time and trap should be incredible and a real display of how fast this thing is.

Great job by Chevy in keeping it at 65K. Nothing can touch it or come close at that price.

^^^ Donno about that - if price and performance are all that matter, you can get some rocket bikes that will compete pretty well.

Not sure, prolly 85K. But if you are asking about the M5 to compare to the z06 I think we can all say that its like apples and oranges. The M5 will be cool, with a v10 and 4 doors, but this car should lay down the lay to all cars under 200K, minus the ford GT. Also gotta wonder about the M5's motor's reliability out the gate with what went down with the e46 m3, although the same thing can be said about the z06.

Cant remember which magazine it was, but it said that the 0-60 number may be lowered because the Chevy test drivers have been getting times better than 3.7

Dodge really needs to answer this challenge from Chevy, the Viper is now longer faster, although I would still rather have a Viper, 99 GTS blue with white stripes, Mmmmm

First gear? Could you imagine auto-x'ing that thing? You would NEVER need 2nd gear, and it would have enough torque to pull you out of every corner. Crazy.
