Only the ones with no talent, nothing to say, and no control over their careers. Vs. people like Slug and Ant, Eyedea, Lady Sovereign, Brother Ali, MIA, Lily Allen, The Streets, hell one could go on and one and still leave out important names that are actually making NEW music instead of rehashing old tropes that were stale when Run DMC was getting noticed. I feel like I'm just pimping the hometown when I recommend anything from Rhymesayers but they do deliver good artists with something to say. The crap that gets shoveled in the name of "hiphop" is just maddening. It's more than performance, it's having something relevant to say that isn't a mimic of smarter and more sincere people (Kanye West, I'm looking at you).

The fact that a pedophile like R. Kelly shows up in 2011 just ought to embarrass people. Listening to him is like breathing hot garbage, only nobody walks up to you with hot garbage saying "smell this, it's awesome!"
