Electric cars are rapidly exploding onto the market. With them being so quiet and no gear changes I fear falling asleep at the wheel when cruising for long periods of time lol

The cheapest Model 3 I could live with is still $42k, and that is without autopilot, but I don't really care about that. That, plus the front motor type, plus the questionable build quality, plus the dash layout that I don't like, plus the questionable looks, leaves me looking for another option.
The solution? Polestar 2. That is the car to get; more traditional IP, good looks, better build quality I'd wager, and there will be a $40k version that you can get a full credit on.

Curious if someone was interested in a model 3 would you think a used model a be a better option? They seem to be coming down in price but not sure on battery replacements if needed. I know it’s a new vs used debate but it may cross some people’s minds.

I think at this point the batteries have proven to last. The biggest issue is the used prices are too high when you can take the tax credit. Now that Tesla is losing that, I think used prices might rise as less people look to buy new.

Well I think with the the news of the Model Y which is supposed to be even more affordable, the market for the 3 may stale at least temporarily. I think outside of the fanatics, Tesla as a brand is taking a hit. The reality of ownership from the more casual owner is not all that great. Build quality has been hit or miss, down time is terrible if you vehicle is in a fender bender, Model 3s may be equipped with autonomous capability but still has not been unlocked. Alot of overpromising and underdelivering. And then there was the price cut. But we'll see how it turns out, but the market is about to be infused with an influx of options in the next few years, so we'll see.

I'm taking delivery of Model 3 AWD Ext. with AP today. 310 mile range is plenty for me and it will smoke most of the cars on the road effortlessly. EV is indeed the future.
