2006 M3

I just got an 06 m3 AW on ir 2 months ago.... the car exceeded my expectations in every way.... during break i thought the car was overrated....but you really have to push it past 4.5k rpm to feel the car...
its a monster... e46 has clean lines and styling that will always be classic...the reason i bought mine was they were ending production.
CB on CINN is one of the best combos...
550 is a great car.... the m3 is pretty harsh as in cabin noise, jerking, ride....but everytime you let her rip you never want another car...
550 will be very torqey and soft...but fast very up top....
i love my car

It's just your choice.. you also have the option of going with the 335 twin turbo coupe being released this fall. Personally, this coming from an E46 M3 owner, I would go with or wait for the new body style. I thoroughly enjoyed driving the 330i loaner the dealership let me borrow and I don't think the new M3 or 335i will disappoint.

I'd jump on it and try to get the best deal...you never know what Bangle has going through his mind... It's really the last of the timeless looking BMW's...
Oh btw... look around for one with a XCP option (Competition package)

66K sounds like a loaded up Competition Package. Does it have the cloth racing seats too?

bobster,
Try to get a drive in a broken-in M3. As an S2000 driver, you will love the engine. High-revving excitement plus flexibility = well, it just rocks.
I'm sure the new V8 will be fantastic, but it'll come with bugs to be worked out - bet on it. In the meantime, the E46 will lose none of its desirability.

they're alrady out of production....last one rolled off the line months ago.
bobster, don't listen to these guys...
the new M3 (E92) is 2 years away....and the current M3 (E46) is still quite a car....it's no slouch.
the E92 MSRP will be higher than the E46 MSRP...and you won't get much off for the 2 years (if anything).
why is the car you're looking at 66K?
that seems awfully high....even with full jam.
btw, i just picked up an M3 a couple of weeks ago....it's still a serious car.

That's about right for a loaded vert....go with the M3 you will not regret it. It is one of the finest daily drivers on the planet...it offers one of the best compromises between performance and luxury at any price.
