2010 Camaro vs. 2010 Mustang
Hey guys,
I'd like some inputs from you on those two cars. Yes, one of them is going to be a replacement for my S. After the soft top TSB crap, I vowed not to buy another Honda in the near future. Besides, they got nothing interesting going on anyway.
I am interested the V8 models with manual. I am going to test drive them this afternoon and post my thoughts. It will be my daily driver; typical commute is 12 miles round-trip in stop and go traffic. Once a week I drive 100 miles to work and school. The roads in my areas are filled with potholes & ruts. It's only wife & I in the family, no kids.
Any of you who have driven them, please post your findings. Any other suggestions?
I don't do used. Please, save 370Z as your last resort. I don't like the look of the newer Zs.

I don't blame you for being fed up with Honda - its handling of customers with warrantable top claims is despicable imo.
I'd personally wait for the Camaro convertible if you can (1Q 2011), otherwise I'd get a Mustang coupe - I think it has better headroom and visibility top up. What about the Genesis Coupe?

If it's just a daily driver, I'd go with the heavier, more powerful Camaro. You don't need the lighter weight or nimbler handling of the Mustang. That said, I prefer the interior of the Mustang in terms of build quality and appearance. The Mustang will probably cost less, despite similar MSRP for both. They'll probably both get similar gas mileage so that's a wash.
The Camaro is a polarizing design that will be both quick and comfortable. It's an easier choice (in my mind) for a daily driver where actual handling is not really needed.

Too bad you "don't do used", as these types of cars depreciate like mad!
The Ford has a live rear axle, and the Chevy is grossly overweight, and both are pretty grim/cheap-looking on the inside. I couldn't see myself going to either of those from an S2000.
If I *had* to get a new car in this genre, I'd probably go with a 135i, or Hyundai Genesis coupe, or G37 coupe. But honestly I'd probably get a used 306hp G35 and keep thousands of $$$ in my pocket

I like the 2010 Mustangs but the Camaro gets my vote. It looks better (but not by much because I love the redesign of the new Mustangs), is pretty damn quick, and the SS is around the same price of the Mustang GT yet the Camaro SS competes with Shelby GT500s.
